The Chiefs’ Willie Gay has been suspended by the NFL for four games after misdemeanor charges

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay has been suspended for four games without pay for violating NFL guidelines on personal conduct.

Gay’s suspension is related to an arrest for a criminal offense at Overland Park in January.

He may return to the active Kansas City roster on Oct. 17 following the Chiefs’ matchup against Buffalo.

Gay is expected to play San Francisco in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV on October 23 in Santa Clara.
