Seattle Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett intercepts former teammate Russell Wilson with old signals

Ready for Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks then knocked out the heavily favored Denver Broncos, courtesy of Tyler Lockett.

Wilson’s former teammate was seen giving Seahawks defensemen a hint of what the Broncos man was planning based on hand signals he was using.

It seems old habits are hard to die at Wilson as Lockett was able to pick up numerous clues.

“If you see that, it’s a try,” Lockett said while gesturing over the Seattle Seahawks to Seahawks safety Tariq Woolen.

It didn’t stop there, as Lockett then yelled at other teammates, “He’s trying! He runs!’

Speaking to fellow receiver DK Metcalf, Lockett reiterated his confidence in what Wilson had planned.

“They have our same stuff. I literally called it,’ he said.

After the Seahawks’ dramatic 17-16 win over Denver, Lockett let some of his opponents know he was aware of their covert gestures.

“Change signals,” Lockett said with an endearing smile.

Lockett and the Broncos’ current signal caller were teammates from 2015 to 2021 before Wilson was traded to Denver this offseason.

Seattle flies to San Francisco for an NFC West duel on Sunday while the Broncos host Houston Orange in Wilson’s first game at Mile High in Denver.
