Mattress Mack Receives Record $75 Million Sports Betting Payout If Astros Wins World Series

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is back with another bet on a Texas sports team and this time he could be at the bottom of the biggest sports betting payout of all time following the Houston Astros’ epic Game 1 win over the Seattle Mariners at the ALDS.

The Gallery Furniture owner and notorious player who attended Tuesday’s game is one step closer to a massive $75 million payout after the Astros’ 8-7 comeback in the ninth inning.

He placed $10 million in bets on the baseball team he loves so much to win the World Series at an average payout of 7.50 to 1.

And of course, no one but Gallery Furniture’s customers would benefit from the 71-year-old potentially entering the sports betting record books.

The company has been encouraging its owner’s gambling for years, offering consumers free furniture after spending a certain amount for a chance of McIngvale’s select teams winning championships.

This time, however, McIngvale has set a percentage like no other as he gives customers the opportunity to double their purchases if the Astros take the Commissioner’s Trophy, according to The Houston Chronicle.

For example, if someone buys $3,000 worth of furniture, they will get $10,000 back.

“When you buy a Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, or Sealy mattress sleep set for $3,000 or more and the Houston Astros win it all in the final 2022 championship series, your purchase is FREE!”, a promotion on Gallery Furniture’s website read.

‘Visit us at a Gallery Furniture showroom TODAY and purchase a qualifying mattress for a chance to get it all FREE FREE FREE!’

McIngvale’s name is well known in the sports betting world as the loner, who has an estimated net worth of $300 million, is known for making crazy bets.

In April he went to Lake Charles, Louisiana to play Kansas, who won the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. He raked in $15 million. Gambling is not legal in Texas.

‘Mattress Mack’ previously bet $9.5 million on the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl LVI.

2014 also saw him experience his biggest loss yet when he ran a promotion that essentially gave customers free furniture if the Denver Broncos beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVII.

Overall, McIngvale is believed to have lost $15.43 million in his lifetime from bets including on the University of Alabama, the New England Patriots, Tampa Bay and the Tennessee Titans, each of which won the Super Bowl.
