Kylian Mbappe ‘at the center of a PSG squad SPLIT’ with teammates upset over his privileged position

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly at the center of a PSG squad split and is quickly losing the support of his teammates, with some angered by his privileged position within the squad.

The French star signed a new £650,000-a-week deal with the club in the summer after sensationally dismissing Real Madrid advances.

As part of the new deal, Mbappe was also given influence over sporting affairs and the way the club is run.

It hasn’t stopped talking at the Parc des Princes, however, as several dramas continue to engulf the club. Earlier this week, Le Parisien reported that Mbappe now wants to leave the club after feeling “betrayed” by the board.

And now, in a report in L’Equipe, dissatisfaction within the squad against Mbappe continues to mount.

Several of his team-mates are reportedly unhappy with the French star’s attitude, which changes every week as Mbappe becomes increasingly isolated within the squad.

The PSG squad is now divided, with Neymar – who has had public tensions with Mbappe on multiple occasions this season – and his South American team-mates set to face Mbappe after the Brazilian learned of the Frenchman’s desire for the club to transfer him on in the summer.

Center-back Marquinhos and the Spanish-speaking players in the squad are also unhappy with Mbappe’s increased power.

Mbappe’s support base continues to shrink as the club’s star only has the support of his French team-mates Presnel Kimpembe, Nordi Mukiele and Hugo Ekitike, as well as Achraf Hakimi.

It was hoped that in the summer, with the arrival of new boss Christophe Galtire, the divisions in the dressing room that had previously held the club back would be resolved.

This was compounded by the departures of Argentina stars Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes as it reduced the South American stars’ significant influence on the squad.

However, the remaining South Americans were unhappy at the power that had been bestowed on Mbappe, with the terms of his new contract as evidence of a club desperate to keep their star.

Along with Marquinhos and several Spanish-speaking players in the squad, her influence in the group has increased recently, with many privately expressing anger at Mbappe being given so much influence and say in the club’s affairs.

Mbappe’s attitude at the club hasn’t helped and today’s situation seems a far cry from the joyful scenes when his new contract was announced, as the striker proudly posed on the pitch with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Staff at the club’s training ground, Camp des Loges, talk about a player whose mood can change instantly, for better or worse.

A club insider said: “One day he arrives at Camp des Loges, everyone is smiling, joking and greeting everyone, and the next day he arrives without a word, not looking at anyone,” says a source inside the training center. And has been since the beginning of the season. You never know which saint to turn to.”

Mbappe is reportedly very close to sporting advisor Luis Campos and his deputy Oliver Gagne, which could explain the news that Campos is also reportedly set to leave the club in a separate report from Le Parisien.

The outlet said that like Mbappe, Campos also felt “betrayed” by the club as the two have known each other since the PSG striker was 14 and they spent time together in Monaco.
