Jurgen Klopp is a “stubborn KID” who “breaks down under the pressure”, claims Gabby Agbonlahor

Gabby Agbonlahor has reignited his feud with Jurgen Klopp by calling the Liverpool boss a “stubborn kid” over his criticism of ex-Reds midfielder Didi Hamann.

Ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League game against Rangers on Wednesday night, Klopp sarcastically hit back at Hamann after claiming his German compatriot’s days as Anfield boss were numbered.

Now Agbonlahor has spoken out, claiming Klopp’s sarcastic jibe is proof he’s “losing it” and “cracking under the pressure”.

“I thought Jurgen Klopp was like a stubborn kid,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT Breakfast.

“Didi Hamann won the Champions League for Liverpool, had a fantastic career, if he can’t talk about Liverpool then who will?

“Is it just Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush, Steven Gerrard, can only certain players talk about Liverpool? I think he’s losing his spark a bit, Jurgen Klopp, he’s breaking down under the pressure.

There has been a degree of animosity between Klopp and talkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor since they clashed publicly in August following Liverpool’s defeat by Manchester United.

“I almost called him to tell him he forgot he used to be a player. It was incredible,” an angry Klopp said at a press conference after Agbonlahor’s criticism.

But the former Aston Villa striker has not been deterred from criticizing the Liverpool boss and his decision to knock out star Mohamed Salah in Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat by Arsenal at the weekend has been called into question.

“You can’t keep making wrong decisions like he’s doing right now,” he added.

“Yelling at the media? It was a perfectly honest question about whether they need a spark. It doesn’t matter if Henderson scores, Thiago creates a chance or Salah returns to Salah ahead of his contract.

Regarding the Hamann criticism, Agbonlahor continued: “It’s harmless for Hamann, but for him [Klopp] Beating Hamann as nobody…even when he tried me to talk about a completely different team, I think he loses it. He has to work to ensure that his team plays good football.”
