Police arrested the leader of a group believed to have planned the kidnapping of Health Minister Karl Lauterbach.
Police Elisabeth R. was arrested in Central Saxony. She is accused of being the leader of a group that allegedly planned the kidnapping of the German health minister Karl Lauterbach.
The defendants are accused of multiple crimes. According to the federal prosecutor’s office, he is said to have participated in a terrorist organization as a gang leader. Furthermore, she is accused of complicity in setting up a highly traitorous enterprise against the federal government.
According to the Attorney General, Elisabeth R. is said to be an advocate of the Reich city ideology. You do not accept the Federal Republic of Germany as a legitimate state and you want to transform Germany into an authoritarian system of government by means of a “constituent assembly”.
To accomplish these goals, the defendant is said to have formed a group with at least four other people in January 2022. Their goal was to ignite civil war conditions in Germany and thereby bring about the downfall of the federal government.
The group also planned the kidnapping of Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach. Internally, the members were divided into an administrative and an executive branch. Elisabeth R. belonged to the last part of the group.
