Why ‘The Masked Singer’ Wasn’t Airing Last Night and When the Next Episode Will Air

The Masked Singer fans were frustrated when the fourth episode of Season 8 did not air on Wednesday, October 12.

The Fox show, hosted by Nick Cannon, was supposed to air in its usual 8 p.m. ET slot, but an unforeseen shake-up prevented it.

It was previously announced that Andrew Lloyd Webber will join regular celebrity panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke in the episode for an evening devoted to his famous musicals, which include cats other The Phantom of the Opera.

But now fans will have to wait to tune in to the Webber-themed edition of the singing competition.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber-themed episode of The Masked Singer was initially delayed due to a Major League Baseball playoff game between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies.

Game 2 of the series was delayed due to rainy weather and Fox initially told fans that The Masked Singer would air later that same night but, ultimately, the game ran later than expected and the episode did not air at all.

Fox has confirmed that The Masked Singer the episode that was scheduled to air on October 12 will now be pushed back a week and air on October 19.

The show’s official account revealed the news on Twitter, posting, “Please forgive us…Sorry we missed you tonight, but we’ll see you next week on @FOXTV! #TheMaskedSinger.”

The account warned that the episode aired in Canada as scheduled and advised fans who don’t want to know which celebrities are hiding behind masks to avoid any spoilers.

“Whoa, whoa, #TheMaskedSinger fam…We’re SO sorry for the delay! The episode is still airing in Canada, so watch out for spoilers. We’ll let you know when you can watch the episode as soon as possible.” the tweet read.

The Masked Singer fans were eagerly awaiting to see Maize, Mermaid, and Robogirl take the stage in the now-postponed episode.

Thanks to a few clues revealed before their performances, some viewers believed they had already managed to identify the famous faces behind Maize and Mermaid’s costumes.

On social media, fans predicted that Maize could be Paula Deen or Office starring Melora Hardin.

Meanwhile, many have speculated if the mermaid costume is a clue to new The little Mermaid the great lady Halle Bailey, or sister sister actress Tia Mowry – whose twin sister Tamera appeared on The Masked Singer as Seashell in Season 5.

So far The Masked Singer Season 8, William Shatner, Montell Jordan, Chris Kirkpatrick, Eric Idle, Jeff Dunham, Daymond John and The Brady Group stars Mike Lookinland, Christopher Knight and Barry Williams were revealed as the voices behind the masks.

Only Harp has managed to navigate without her identity being revealed, although fans are convinced she is. joy actress Amber Riley.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
