Channel Nine Today Show host Tim Davies made a hilarious on-air faux pas on Friday.
The handsome weatherman was spotted participating in a hay sack race with some school kids during a segment.
In what appeared to be a deliberate move to gain a competitive advantage, Tim appeared to playfully knock over one of the kids to take the lead in the race.
A rendition of the incident shocked today’s co-hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Karl exclaimed after watching Tim mow down the kid in slow motion.
Meanwhile, Allison covered her mouth to stifle an embarrassed laugh.
“Come on, this is the next level,” she said, “to knock out a kid!”
The hosts watched again as the clip played in slow motion, which showed Tim touching the back of the kid who was racing in front of him.
The force of the impact sent the boy falling head first into the lawn.
Tim then began maneuvering to block another child opponent.
Sharing the clip on his social media on Friday, he wrote, “Welcome to life kids.”
He then cheekily added, “Allison Langdon told me to do it.”
Surprisingly, the incident didn’t seem to cause any panting from the popular weatherman’s fans and followers.
“Oh my god Tim this is the best,” a friend posted.
Many others shared messages in a similar way.
“Ha ha I couldn’t stop laughing,” one follower wrote, while another simply said, “Love this.”
It comes after recent speculation that Allison Langdon has been tapped to replace outgoing A Current Affair presenter Tracey Grimshaw.
Kyle Sandilands appeared to confirm the rumor during an interview with the longtime host on Wednesday.
Speaking to Tracey on his KIIS FM radio show, the shock jock said he knew it was the Today Show host.
Nine is expected to make an official announcement about the new host of A Current Affair next week.
