The Block’s Rachel Carr surprised viewers with a shock admission on Sunday night’s episode.
The 36-year-old admitted she felt her renovations weren’t up to par with the other blockheads and she struggled to shake off her “defeatist attitude”.
“I’m not feeling great. I’m probably at the lowest point I’ve been in these six weeks. I don’t feel like I’m doing a good job,” she admitted.
The makeup artist added that she was acting on the show, which meant she’d been away from her family for an extended period of time and it was beginning to take its toll.
“Our baby is not well at home and I am not there. To be honest, I just want to go to sleep,” she admitted.
At one point, Rachel bursts into tears after struggling with a difficult kitchen bench makeover.
Her husband Ryan said her stress gradually built up during her time on the show.
“Your son is getting sick, you’re sleep deprived, you’re getting to a point where you’re going to crack it. Rach is at this point,” he said.
Luckily, she managed to find some solace by confiding in series foreman Keith.
“It would be tough, but you’re doing a damn good job,” he told the blonde.
It follows that Rachel slammed the judges last week for her team’s “unfair” placement in the competition.
Rachel and her husband Ryan said on Monday’s episode that they felt they were falling behind, despite everyone saying their bathroom was the best.
She suggested the judges play favorites as their money situation looked tight.
