Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey wrap up their time as co-leads on Season 19 of “The Bachelorette.” After a tumultuous few weeks, they’ve narrowed their suitors down to just one each: Tino Franco and Erich Schwer.
WARNING: STOP READING IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS FOR SEASON 19 OF “THE BACHELORETTE.”
Will the women who were rejected during Clayton Echard’s season of ‘The Bachelor’ get engaged? Are the potential couples still together? Who will hand out the roses next?
“Gabby and Rachel are each one man looking for a lifetime of love, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be smooth sailing for these singles getting engaged,” the episode’s description reads. “Both women will join Jesse Palmer as they watch the shocking conclusions of their travels happen live in the studio and for all of America to see.”
ABC also teases “a never-before-seen interactive viewing experience”.
Here’s what you need to know:
Erich Schwer is Windey’s last man in her final week on “The Bachelorette.” But as viewers have seen, the 29-year-old shared his desire to simply date Windey.
“I love Erich with all my heart, so I want a proposal from him,” Windey said in this week’s trailer. She adds: “I want to get out of here engaged. If he doesn’t propose, I’ll be devastated.”
Despite their on-screen tension, Reality Steve reported that they are leaving Mexico as a couple. He wrote: “Whatever drama is happening in Mexico, it’s not like anyone else is coming back for her. He is the only man left. They work through it and are together today.”
But the blogger has reversed previous claims that they are engaged.
“I heard a possibility that they might not have gotten engaged in Mexico and they just dated, but I’ve never been able to confirm that,” Reality Steve continued. “The main thing I double checked was if they were still together and I was told they absolutely are.”
Since those reports, Schwer has become entangled in a Jed Wyatt-esque scandal. Still, Reality Steve has doubled down on claims that the pair are together.
“The last I heard was that Gabby and Erich were still together, but that was last week,” he wrote in his most recent blog. “I have no idea if/what this revelation from Amanda will do to their relationship. But if the Nate story I posted gets addressed? [“Men Tell All”]I have to believe that somehow this has to come up on the ATFR.”
Erich Schwer will be entering the “After the Final Rose” stage and it begs the question of whether he will address his recent scandals?
In September, a photo of Schwer’s high school textbook showed the real estate analyst in blackface.
He did release a statement on Instagram, writing: “I sincerely apologize for the insensitive photo of me in Blackface from my high school textbook circulating. What I thought at the time was a representation of my love for Jimi Hendrix was nothing. other than ignorance I was naive of the hurtful implications of my actions to the black community and those closest to me and will forever regret my abusive and harmful behavior I am deeply ashamed of my actions and understand that my apology is only the first step in taking responsibility.”
Schwer was again the subject of controversy when Amanda Kaylor on BachelorNation.Scoop claimed that the two were dating until the start of filming and he even met her son. According to her statement, he informed her about the show two weeks before leaving, calling the dating process “acting.”
Kaylor said he reached out to her after filming to wish her well, but not in an attempt to rekindle their romance. Schwer has yet to address her claims.
Recchia gives her last rose to Tino Franco and leaves the season to the general contractor, Reality Steve reported. “Tino is truly the man of my dreams,” she said in a promo. “This is the day I’ve waited all my life.”
But after they left Mexico, their communication was cut and they eventually broke up.
Reality Steve explained on his blog that there was “a silence” and that they “stopped talking or communication was bad”. He added that at some point she wanted to return the engagement ring and just date Franco.
“That’s not what Tino wanted, but apparently he never told her that wouldn’t work for him because he was afraid he would lose her,” explains the blogger.
At one point during the “dark” part of their relationship, Franco kissed a girl on a night out. It is not known who the woman in question is, but the 27-year-old clearly comes forward and tells the pilot that it was only once.
