“The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”: Next news for Florian Silbereisen’s show

The “Schlagerbooom” was canceled at short notice and replaced by another show. Now fans must accept a change in the “100,000 Lights Advent Festival”.

The confusion surrounding the performances of

Florian Silbereisen is tall. The “Schlagerbooom” was supposed to take place in October. But just three weeks before the date, the MDR announced that the event at Dortmund Westfalenhalle had been canceled.

Instead, there will be another program in the first: “The big hit Anniversary – to the next 100!”. The show was recorded the day before in Leipzig, with Helene Fischer and Jürgen Drew, among others. Fans have to do without the “Schlagerbooom”, which attracts several million people in front of the screens every year.

Another change awaits the viewers. Because Florian Silbereisen normally welcomes the successful elite again a few weeks later on stage. Every year since 2004 – with two exceptions in 2006 and 2008 – “The 100,000 Lights Advent Festival” is held on the Saturday before the first Advent.

This year, however, the show is delayed compared to usual: ARD does not broadcast the Advent festival on Saturday 26 November, as assumed, but on Friday 2 December. This was confirmed by a broadcaster when asked by “dwdl.de”.

The reason for this decision is the World Cup in Qatar. Because on November 26, ARD will most likely show the Argentina vs Cameroon match at 20:00. On 2 December, however, ZDF will broadcast in Cameroon against Brazil. This means that the ARD slot on the Friday before the second Advent is free for the Florian Silbereisen show.

There is another change concerning Florian Silbereisen: for the first time in five years, ZDF airs an episode of “Traumschiff” in November. In a few weeks, the love steamer will sail again. Then we leave for Lapland for the crew and guests.
