Septembre Musical puts Austria in the spotlight

The Festival Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey returns on Monday for a 76th edition dedicated to Austria. For ten days, the greatest composers from the cradle of classical music will be played on the Riviera, from Mozart to Strauss, including Haydn, Bruckner and Schubert.

Twelve concerts are planned at the Stravinski Auditorium in Montreux, the Château de Chillon in Veytaux and the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes in Vevey. According to the festival organizers, you will experience world-famous formations such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, the Vienna Boys’ Choir or the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.

The festival also offers a free program aimed mainly at families and young people in the area. It includes concerts, but also dance, a musical fairy tale, an exhibition or even a conference.

Last year, Septembre Musical attracted nearly 7,000 spectators over thirteen days and fifteen concerts.
