Samia Longchambon stunned after snapping a pool selfie that appeared to have her body cut in half.
The 40-year-old Coronation Street actress – who plays Maria Connor on the soap – took to Instagram on Saturday to share a throwback pic from earlier in the summer, of which she was in an animal print bikini top and black pants with a straw hat was to be seen.
However, in the photo, the lower half of her body was completely detached from her upper half, and her legs appeared to be walking away underwater.
She captioned her post, “I should have paid more attention to the GCSE physics, had to google it… #refraction.”
Refraction is when light travels from air into water, causing it to slow down and change direction slightly, creating the optical illusion seen in Samia’s image.
In another picture, Samia looked relaxed as she held her hands in the air as she walked across a glass-bottomed section of the crystal-clear pool she soaked in during a recent vacation.
The stunning snaps come after Samia revealed she was misdiagnosed with asthma after suffering from breathing difficulties due to her crippling anxiety.
The actress, who appeared on last year’s Loose Women, revealed that she has struggled with her mental health since she was a child, which prompted her mother Patsy Ghadie to take her to the doctors.
Recalling the outcome of the appointment, Samia admitted that the anxiety she felt in her early years continued into adulthood.
She told panelists via video link: “Anyone who knows me has always known that I’m quite an anxious person.
“I’ve been known to be a little apprehensive and very cautious about everything.
“Ever since I was a kid I’ve had anxiety and when I was a kid my mom took me to the doctors and the doctor first diagnosed asthma because I couldn’t breathe deeply.
“So they finally gave me inhalers when I was about 11 and thought it was asthma, but it wasn’t, it was anxiety.”
The actress is mom to Freya, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Matthew Smith, a real estate developer.
The couple separated in 2011 after six years of marriage.
She married Dancing On Ice pro Sylvain Longchambon in 2016 and they welcomed their six-year-old son Yves in September 2015.
