Ryan Seacrest has announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The host announced the news on Tuesday via his social media while in quarantine.
“I don’t know how I’ve avoided it for so long but unfortunately I tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago and am currently in quarantine,” the 47-year-old Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host wrote.
The host shared the news via his Twitter on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from his home in Newark, NJ, adding, “Hoping for a speedy recovery.”
Ryan also asked his followers for TV show recommendations while he stays home to recover: “I’ll be watching TV in bed this week so please let me know if you have any recommendations (especially for foodie shows !).”
Ryan currently serves as a co-host on Live With Kelly and Ryan, and as a presenter on American Idol.
The star also hosts radio shows including American Top 40 and On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
