‘RHOP’: Robyn Dixon opens up about her reaction to Mia Thornton throwing drinks at Wendy Osefo

The real housewives of the Potomac Viewers are fed up with Robyn Dixon. After opting out of scolding Mia Thornton for throwing a drink in Wendy Osefo’s face, fans want Andy Cohen to hold her accountable for encouraging violence while taping the reunion. It seems the backlash is reaching Dixon as she recently changed her stance on the situation, but Osefo calls BS.

During a cast trip to Miami to celebrate Karen Huger’s birthday, Thornton called RHOA alum Peter Thomas, giving him an overview of the guest list for their private dinner at his South Beach restaurant. Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband told her he has “beef” with Osefo. Thomas claims his relationship with Osefo has soured after talks stalled over a potential deal together. Thornton made it his mission to confront Osefo about it.

While discussing the issue, Thornton was somehow triggered and aggressively threw a drink in Osefo’s face. Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon sided with Thornton. Osefo never put up a physical fight.

Dixon even pulled out her phone to record the aftermath and seemed to paint a negative picture of Osefo’s verbal reaction. She continued to call Osefo antagonistic, even encouraging her to hit Thornton back or shut up.

Fans have slammed Dixon for tempting a continued fight. They also call her actions lame and can’t understand how she sided with Thornton in the first place.

In an interview with, Dixon reflected on the moment and apparently had a change of heart. “Mia was wrong because she threw the drink away. I wish she hadn’t. But my thing about Wendy was that I really wanted her to stop because I didn’t want her to do something she would regret that would jeopardize her job or her reputation,” Dixon claims.

Dixon added, “I explained to her that you have more to lose than Mia. … When I tell her, ‘You’re antagonistic,’ I’m telling her that because I’m saying you’re going to make her do something which you don’t want her to do because you don’t want to be trapped in it. So that was my whole point, and I’m upset that they didn’t really express that.

Osefo doesn’t buy Dixon’s change of heart. Taking to Twitter to let the world know about it, she wrote: “A lot of people are pulling out PR stunts today. Three whole days and that’s the best they could come up with,” alongside a laughing emoji. Bryant hasn’t spoken out about why she sided with Thornton.

Thornton has also issued a number of apologies. “My actions towards Wendy were unbearable,” she began in a tweet. “It is unfortunate that you all attack my family, friends and my businesses based on an edited TV show. While dedicated to drama and entertainment, I had to do what is best for [my] Marke & Partner,” she concluded, seemingly exiting the show.
