‘RHOP’: Candiace Dillard Bassett shadows Monique Samuels after Samuels opened up about Mia Thornton’s drink toss

fans of The real housewives of the Potomac are still talking about Mia Thornton’s infamous drink throw in Wendy Osefo’s face. Many have compared the episode to Monique Samuels’ physical altercation with Candiace Dillard Bassett in Season 5. Since then, Samuels has praised Osefo for handling the situation without retaliation. But Dillard Bassett isn’t here because of Samuel’s rescheduling of events.

Samuels punched Dillard Bassett in the heat of a verbal debate during a cast trip to a winery. The moment escalated amid heckling from her co-stars and their constant arguments throughout the season. Samuels apologized for tapering the reunion but remained steadfast in her belief that Dillard Bassett had provoked her.

TIED TOGETHER: RHOP: How Wendy Osefo really feels about Monique Samuels since Samuel’s fight with Candiace Dillard

Osefo scolded Samuels for her role in the fight. Samuels says she is pleased with how Osefo handled her own incident with Thornton. “I don’t know the full story, but I applaud Wendy for not getting as physical as I did after getting hit in the face with a glass,” she told The Neighbhorood Talk. “She had every reason to defend herself after being sprayed in the face and then apparently hit with a handbag and chose to use her words instead.

She added, “One thing Wendy said to me back then with Karen was that she would never get physical, she would use her words. Obviously, she lived up to that statement at that moment. I told her when we met again in Season 5 that she and her family would be next,” said Monique. “Some of these women don’t hate the camera. You are miserable in real life. One thing Wendy should understand is that it’s not about her actions or lack thereof, she could have just sat there and they still would have found a reason to ice her.”

Dillard Bassett has always claimed that Samuels skewed the fight in her favor by leaking false information to the blogs. Footage from the fight also shows that Samuels first had physical contact with Dillard Bassett. The “Drive Back” singer is furious over Samuel’s recent claims that the fight started after she hit Samuels with a wine glass.

“That – is still… NOBODY HIT YOU WITH A GLASS. LET THE LIE GO,” she wrote in a tweet captured by Jay’s Reality Blog. She also threw shade at Samuels for speaking out about the Thornton/Osefo drama when she was no longer on the show.

“The Unemployment Line will really make you say anything to gain access to a check or the prospect of one. We’re STILL bored,” she added in another tweet.

Most viewers are on Osefo’s side and Thornton has generated a lot of buzz on social media. After a short post break, she apologized and claimed that social media users are now threatening her and her family. She’s apparently hinting that she won’t be returning to the show.
