Olivia Wilde looked sensational as she walked the red carpet in a shimmering emerald green gown at Friday’s Don’t Worry Darling premiere at the Victoria Eugenia Theater during the 70th San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain.
The 38-year-old actress looked every inch the Hollywood siren as she arrived at the event, where she was greeted by crowds of fans and photographers.
However, she stumbled around before stepping in when the heels of her high-heeled shoes caught in the long train of her dress.
The star needed help from a member of staff to ensure it was safely resolved.
Olivia made sure to catch viewers’ attention at the premiere as her garment sparkled in the bright light.
Her bare arms and shoulders were left exposed to the air due to the dress’s sleeveless design.
The US star wore her ombre hair down and opted for plenty of makeup to emphasize her pretty features.
Olivia plays the role of Bunny in the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, with her character being best friends with Alice Chambers (Florence Pugh).
Don’t Worry Darling tells the story of housewife Alice, whose husband Jack (Harry Styles) draws her into a utopian community for his new company.
She begins to worry that her husband and his company are hiding terrible secrets while her life is turned upside down.
The cast also includes Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Douglas Smith, KiKi Layne, Timothy Simons and Dita Von Teese.
Olivia recently split from ex-husband Jason, with whom she shares two children, and is now dating her co-star Harry.
Rumors of Harry and Olivia’s romance were confirmed when they were spotted holding hands at his agent’s wedding in Montecito, California on January 3, 2021, raising eyebrows at how quickly she moved on.
And rumors of a feud between her and Florence have surfaced after a recent leaked video of the director suggesting her female lead should have a “wake-up call”.
The video was leaked after Shia LaBeouf – who was originally slated to front the film – refuted Olivia’s claim that he was fired from the project.
In the footage, Olivia can be heard encouraging Shia to stay with the film rather than leave, while also pointing to an apparent tension with Florence.
Seeking answers, a journalist asked Olivia about the reports during Monday’s press conference, which was also attended by Harry and his co-stars Chris Pine and Gemma Chan.
“Could you pop in and talk about whether there was a fight out there and if so why, because people are discussing it?” the reporter asked.
Olivia replied, “Florence is a force and we’re so grateful she can make it tonight despite being in production at Dune.”
“As a director, I know how disruptive it is to lose an actor for even a day, so I’m very grateful to her and Denis Villeneuve for helping us – we’re really excited to be able to celebrate their work tonight .”
She continued, “I can’t say enough how honored I am to have her as our leading lady. She’s fantastic in the film and as for all the endless tabloid gossip and noise out there, I mean the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute, I think it’s sufficiently well fed. ‘
Don’t Worry Darling will be released on September 23, 2022 in the UK and US.
