Olivia Cooke arrived hungover on day one of ‘House of the Dragon’

Dragon House Star Olivia Cooke suffered a hangover and a chipped tooth on her first day of filming for the HBO show.

The 28-year-old made the confession just days before her debut at the game of thrones prequel as former Queen Alicent.

Cooke said her first day on set was “amazing,” but she made the mistake of drinking too much wine the night before.

“I was hungover. Really bad, actually. Really bad,” Cooke told Jimmy Kimmel on his late night talk show.

“And I never do that, but there’s this comedian in England that I love, Alan Carr, and he has a podcast. He invited me to be on the podcast, and I was very excited.”

Cooke said that because her on-set call time wasn’t until 11 a.m. the next day, she decided to bring “a bottle of wine just as a gesture” for Carr, but things got out of hand. after recording is complete.

“The podcast is over, and we’re just chatting, chatting, chatting. He’s been gossiping a lot to me. More wine, more wine, more wine,” Cooke said.

“I don’t remember coming home. I remember, I lowered my head to put my hair in a pony, I fell.”

The next day, the actress woke up to find she had managed to knock her tooth out during the boozy night out with Carr.

“Very slight sheen, but enough for the tongue to amplify it. And you’re like, ‘What have I done?’ No one knew on set, until now,” Cooke said.

Carr used to host her own late night talk show in the UK and is a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race in the UK.

He responded on his social media to Cooke’s story on Jimmy Kimmel Live! saying, “OMG, I broke America.”

Carr posted a video of himself reacting to Cooke on Kimmel’s show and captioned the post, “This doesn’t look like me!!! Cooke then responded to Carr’s post, saying the hangover “in worth it”.

Cooke wants a premiere on Dragon House as the older Queen Alicent when the series leapfrogs 10 years in its sixth episode.

Previews for the next episode suggest that Alicent will be determined to ensure that her son, Aegon, takes the Iron Throne, even though her father, King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), has named his daughter Rhaenyra as heir.

The ensuing battle for the throne is based on the novel by George RR Martin fire and blood and sees how the civil war between the Targaryens will lead to the demise of the dynasty.

It’s until the game of thrones when Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) makes a bid for the Iron Throne some 200 years later.

Cooke takes over the role of actress Emily Carey, who played Alicent as a teenager when she was married to Viserys I and bore her two children.

Carey said Pleasemynews she would like to revisit the role at some point in the future.

“I have such a strong connection to this character, and it’s weird to leave his story halfway and let someone else pick up the slack,” Carey said.
