Kanye West admits his ex-wife Kim Kardashian is raising their kids “80 percent of the time.”

Kanye West, also known as Ye, recently sat down with Danny Harris, Co-Founder and CEO of Alo Yoga, and opened up the new Alo Mind Full Podcast.

During the 36-minute interview, the Flashing Lights singer, 45, spoke briefly about his previous relationship with reality star Kim Kardashian, 41, and co-parenting their four children North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four and Psalm, three.

Their divorce was filed last year in February 2021, and the performer has revealed that the TV personality is currently “basically 80 percent raising these kids.”

Midway through the podcast episode, Kanye began talking about being better prepared for the future, stating, “Everything happens for a reason.”

The rapper added, “You know, you get to a point, and every time you get to that point, everyone wants to be like, ‘Oh, it’s mental health,’ and everyone wants you to say a million apologies.”

“Because everyone wants everyone so doped, so controlled that you can’t even grind for the things you give to your family,” he explained.

“The idea of taking away control and opinions or anything from mom or dad takes away someone’s purpose in life,” emphasizing that “your home is your original church.”

“So to this day I still give Kim advice on things that can help because that goes to the kids. She still has to raise those kids, basically 80 percent of the time.

The two stars began dating years ago in 2012 and tied the knot during a lavish wedding ceremony in Italy in 2014.

However, after seven years of marriage, Kim filed for divorce from the Grammy-winning singer due to “irreconcilable differences.” In March 2022, The Kardashians star was declared legally single.

Earlier this month, the 45-year-old furiously posted screenshots of a text argument between him and Kim about where their kids should go to school, which he simply captioned with a popcorn emoji.

Their children are currently attending a private school in Los Angeles, but Kanye obviously wanted them to be promoted to his own newly opened Donda Academy.

In the lyrics, Kanye fumed at Kim, “You have no say in where the kids go to school,” before asking, “Why [do you] receive [a] to say. Because you’re half white?

Kim responded by sending him a message from Kris herself asking him to stop swearing at her because it “stresses” her at her age.

“You have no idea about my black children and where they go to school. They’re not going to do Playboy and sex tapes,” Kanye retorted, targeting Kim’s star porn video and Playboy cover. “Tell your Clinton friends to come get me. I’m here.’

Days later, however, Kanye returned to Instagram to reveal that he and Kim appeared to have worked things out. “Hi guys, I’m baaaack. I’m sorry it took me so long to post. I just had a good meeting with Kim about the schools.

Amidst the podcast, Ye revealed that he had never sat down and read a book in its entirety.

“I haven’t actually finished a book yet,” he explained. “For me, reading is like eating Brussels sprouts. And speeches is like corn ravioli by Giorgio Baldi.’

He also opened up about his opinion that people should start talking to each other like Yoda from the classic Star Wars franchise, to only use words they “absolutely need”.

Kanye added that he believes one day his grandchildren or great-grandchildren would get to the “level of language” where they wouldn’t have to speak at all, just look at each other like “real Jedi.”

While other issues such as the record producer’s belief in the “ban on stairs” were explored, Ye also clapped back when people claimed he was “crazy.” As he put it: “Sometimes it’s not that I’m not right. I’m not in the moment.’

“People shame the concept of mental health. It is the lowest form of discrimination. Even a crazy person can call you crazy. It’s an interesting weight to carry. It’s like a mark of the beast on my ego.’

“I’m best at doing something crazy, but when a random person on the street says, ‘That was crazy,’ I feel a little like shit.”

“It hurts as a human, it hurts my feelings. Then I start talking about how I made all this money trying to compensate the people who put me down,” the star continued.
