Jenny McCarthy thinks Erika Jayne’s actions ‘just seem wrong’

Bravo superfan, Jenny McCarthy, gives her take on Erika Jayne and the infamous diamond earrings.

While appearing on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Kyle Richards, host Andy Cohen asked McCarthy her take on several of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” storylines this season.

Here’s what you need to know:

In late June, a judge ordered Jayne to surrender a $750,000 pair of diamond earrings, according to People.

“That was one of the first things I thought of before this episode even started. Hopefully she gives all kinds of jewelry to the victims. I can’t imagine not doing that. As I said. I hate being so judgmental because I’m not in her shoes, but from a third party watching, it just seems wrong.”

“Clearance funds from the trust account created for a class action settled by [Tom’s] firm Girardi Keese were used to pay for the diamond earrings in Erika’s possession,” Law360 reported when the case was decided.

But prior to the court ruling, Jayne had held onto the earrings tightly and said she would only return them if instructed to do so.

“My client takes this very seriously, Your Honor,” Jayne’s attorney Evan Borges said, according to the paper. “My client left this marriage to move into a rented house, filed for divorce on her own, and all she took with her was her personal belongings, including jewelry, but all she has are those personal effects, plus her income from ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’.”

McCarthy was also asked if she thinks Jayne and Sutton Stracke could ever become friends.

“I do,” she said on WWHL. I think they look a lot alike, they don’t realize it yet. We see fragments of it. but I look at them when they are having fun and say ‘these two, this is a couple’. One day they will make great friends.’

Many fans have mixed opinions about RHOBH’s new cast member Diana Jenkins and McCarthy feel the same way.

“The jury is out yet, but what I would say about her is that I love her money very much, so I’d love to be friends with her and jump on her plane,” McCarthy told WHHL.

Jenkins recently donated to Lion Air crash victims who are suing Erika Jayne after her estranged husband Tom Girardi allegedly withheld profits from a settlement.

But the victims’ lawyer thinks it was all a PR stunt.

“While Ms. Jenkins may be well-intentioned, we don’t believe that issuing a press release and asking for donations from the public without doing the necessary legwork is the right way forward,” Jay Edelson told Page Six. “That said, we hope this isn’t a publicity stunt and will reserve our judgment until we hear from her directly.”

Jenkins donated $100,000 on September 7, 2022.

“I was not aware of this tragedy until it became a topic of conversation on RHOBH,” Jenkins wrote on Instagram. “I feel so much sympathy for the widows and orphans who are left behind. I know first hand the pain and suffering associated with the loss of a family member, as I lost my brother in the last days of the Bosnian War. I want to do what I can to support those people who have suffered so much. For more information, visit sunelafoundation dot org.”
