Matt Hancock was thrilled after he and roommates Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh won a hot breakfast for the group on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in Thursday’s episode.
The former Health Secretary, 44, celebrated with the rest of the camp after winning the bid with former rugby player Mike, 44, and comedian Seann, 36, after they took part in the nightly Outback Factory Challenge.
When they got to the scene, they were told they would have to work together to put together different foods.
These would then go through rigorous quality control, with the trio having a maximum of three attempts to get them right.
That gathering included requests to whistle “Happy Birthday Kev” onto a cake separated from them by a sieve.
They were also told that they would have to cook hot dogs using the items separated from them through a sieve and onto a conveyor belt.
Athlete Mike looked forward to the challenge, saying, “This is going to be fun,” before adding, “It turns out to be really tough in these gloves.”
After an attempt to squirt the cake, Mike admitted, “That’s impossible!”
They persistently passed the quality control and won the breakfast for the camp.
Returning triumphantly to jungle camp, Matt celebrated, saying to the others, “Who’s got a full English roast in the morning?”
Former footballer Jill Scott excitedly replied: “Really? Oh my god, well done.’
Radio DJ Chris Moyles asked, “Is that really us?”
Mike said to him, “Hash browns, eggs, bacon…”
West Suffolk MP Matt told them about the challenge: “A tray came on a conveyor belt and while cockroaches were poured over our heads we had to prepare three dishes.”
Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner, who has repeatedly spoken out about his hunger for his time on the show, woke up to hear the good news.
Matt told him, “We’ve got it all — beans, tomatoes, hash browns and bread, bacon and eggs.”
Jill declared: “This is the best news ever! Well done!’
I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! continues on Friday at 9.15pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
