How to Get Bottle Caps in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet includes a ton of different items and resources for players to acquire. One of these resources, Bottle Caps, might not seem so unique and important, but they can actually drastically change the way you train your Pokemon, especially if you’re trying to unlock some of the best training available in the game. .

But how exactly do you get the bottle caps and how do you use them? Here’s what you need to know.

Much like the ingredients needed to make brilliant sandwich recipes, finding bottle caps in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be done simply by exploring the world and making various encounters.

In particular, you’ll want to focus on four- and five-star Tera raids if you want to grow your Bottle Cap pool exclusively through exploration and battle.

But, if you’re a bit too lazy for that, or just want to speed up the process, you can always buy bottle caps from Delibirds Presents after meeting a few requirements. However, to access the Bottle Caps in this location, you will need to beat six Gyms in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

If you’re having trouble sorting out which gyms to complete first, be sure to check out PleasemynewsGuide to the most optimal gym for help.

Once you complete these six Gyms, you can return to Delibird Gifts and purchase Bottle Caps for 20,000 Pokedollars each. It might seem like an insane amount, but if you’re smart with your money and league points, you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting a collection of them.

However, using bottle caps is an entirely different ball game.

To use this special resource, you’ll need to travel to Montenevera and locate an NPC offering to submit your Pokemon to Hyper Training.

Hyper Training lets you train your Pokemon around a specific stat. This can be useful for min-maxing specific stats, which will help your Pokemon get stronger overall.

Once you’ve chosen a stat for Hyper Train, you’ll pay the allotted amount of required Bottle Caps, and then the NPC will train the Pokemon into that stat.

From there, you can continue to train other Pokemon using this feature, or use the Shiny Picnic Reset method to hunt down Shiny Pokemon all around Paldea.
