How to Get a Free Overwatch 2 Legendary Skin for Server Issues

Monitor 2 has faced a number of issues since launch, including connection errors, long queues, and now the removal of two heroes from the game while patches are being rolled out. As such, it’s been a bit frustrating to be a fan. When you can’t log in and play or you’re stuck in what seem like endless queues, it’s wasted time to play with your favorite heroes.

Developer Blizzard is aware of this and wants to try and smooth things over as much as they can. In a recent blog, the team highlighted some of the emerging issues that Monitor 2 the team is trying to iron out and has issued an apology to those affected. But the developer isn’t stopping there in an effort to make things better for its loyal player base.

Overwatch 2 players will be able to participate in a number of Double Match XP weekends first, with specific dates to come. All players will also be able to receive a new legendary Cursed Captain Reaper skin and a Health Pack weapon charm for free. Looking to add them to your collection?

We’ve got a look at how you can get the free new Reaper Legendary skin in Monitor 2.

Free legendary Cursed Captain Reaper skin available for everyone Monitor 2 players. All you need to do to be eligible to receive it is log in to your Monitor 2 account from October 25 until the end of Season 1, which ends on December 6, 2022. It will automatically be added to your Reaper cosmetics collection.

Along with the legendary skin, you will also get a special Health Pack weapon charm. Both will be available to you to customize Reaper if you log in during the designated time window. Blizzard hasn’t announced any other rewards at this time apologizing for any issues the game is having, but additional XP and goodies like cosmetic items outside of the game’s Battle Pass are a great start.

Hopefully the recurring issues the game has been experiencing lately will subside soon enough. But since there are still regular server issues, you can be proactive to see if the Monitor 2 servers are down before trying to connect so you can plan to play something else if you can’t access the game.

Monitor 2 is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
