Elizabeth II funeral: The monarch ‘died in his favorite spot’

According to Queen Elizabeth II’s private secretary, the latter “died in her favorite place and now rests in her favorite place”.

The late Queen, who died on September 8 aged 96, was buried yesterday after a lengthy state funeral and Samantha Cohen, who worked for her for many years, explained how much Balmoral and Windsor Castle were places dear to them close to the heart lay his heart.

She told People, “She died in her favorite place and is resting in her favorite place with her husband and other family members.”

Samantha also admitted that the funeral was very emotional.

“It was very intimate because all the Queen’s staff were there,” she continued. “It marked the transition to kingship, as it ended with ‘God save the king.’ There was a lot of camaraderie, it felt like a big reunion for those who had worked for them for years but left. She brought together those who had worked for her for years, like her private secretaries and other associates. It was very inclusive and not hierarchical at all, their people were the focus.”

Queen Elizabeth II was buried in Windsor Castle Chapel.
