Dwayne Johnson on ‘Black Adam’ Post-Credits Scene: ‘Listen to the Fans’

Dwayne Johnson continues to promote his next superhero black adam giving some details about the post-credits scene.

The Rock brings DC’s conflicted comic book character to the big screen for the first time. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonJohnson spoke at length about the film, the character, the cameos, and the post-credits scene.

Post-credit scenes have taken on increased importance over the years, mostly thanks to Marvel movies, and Johnson confirmed black adam would involve a change of game.

Delighted black adamFallon commented on the Easter eggs and the post-credit scene.

“We want to expand the DC Universe, introduce Black Adam and introduce other characters, and also into the JSA [Justice Society of America]”The JSA is a group of superheroes that predates the famous Justice League. “I said it was a new era in the DC Universe that I love. Yes, we’re going to introduce new characters, but also the new era means we’re listening to the fans.

“You have to listen to the fans and for a very long time, for years, the fans were screaming, they were upset,” Johnson added.

“We have established Adam as the strongest and most unstoppable force on this planet. The strongest and most unstoppable force in the entire universe has been on the sidelines for far too long. So myself Seven Bucks [Productions], Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, we fought and we weren’t going to take no for an answer. We were going to deliver it to the fans, and then at the end.” At this point, Johnson paused briefly before suggesting what might happen in the post-credits scene of Black Adam: “Welcome to the house.”

black adam held a New York premiere on Wednesday night with Johnson joined on the black carpet by her co-stars Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi and Noah Centineo. Johnson called it the “greatest premiere of my life” and the “greatest movie of my entire career”.

When he appeared on fall onJohnson also reminded the audience that he was actually cast as superhero Black Adam 15 years ago.

“Black Adam was big and it was a passion project of mine. Just yesterday I got the original article telling me I was playing Black Adam 15 years ago. I pushed and struggled so hard for this movie to be made.” He continued: “15 years ago, like you and I, we were in different positions in our careers. So when we announced that I was going to play Black Adam, it was just harder for the studio partners to look past the Justice League. They saw Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash.”

Johnson has acknowledged that he likes these heroes, but his character has an edge over each of them. “Black Adam has all of Superman’s powers, but Superman won’t kill because he has a code of honor and a code of ethics that we appreciate. But Black Adam will kill you.”

Johnson actually made his screen debut as Black Adam in a cameo appearance in the animated film. DC League of Super Pets in a surprise post-credits scene.

black adam hits theaters everywhere on October 21.
