Destiny 2: How to Get Map Fragments

destiny 2 is full of various collectibles and resources to gather, and it seems that with each new update there are even more to seek out. Map Fragments are one of the newest resources added to the game from destiny 2 Season 18, and you’ll want to get your hands on it if you want to create treasure maps, as well as treasure coordinates.

These new items will help you unlock all the fun pirate-centric gear so you can move on to what really matters: getting the best gear possible. Map Fragments will help you get there, and it’s actually pretty easy to collect them, especially if you’re doing new content-related activities from Season 18 onwards.

The first place you can start collecting Map Fragments in destiny 2 is the new ketch crash activity. This new 6-player PvE activity allows players to attack an enemy Ketch, board it, complete multi-part objectives, and then defeat the captain before the activity ends. You’re rewarded with 10 Map Fragments after each run, which isn’t bad loot for the lack of hard work you have to do to get them.

This means that, to farm Map Fragments, all you have to do is load up some eager players and start playing a bunch of Ketchcrash. When you’re more familiar with the basics and know how to play, you might want to up the difficulty a bit and play on Master difficulty. You might end up getting extra Map Fragments for your problem.

Once you have enough Map Fragments, you can start searching for treasure coordinates, which you will need to create Treasure Maps with Map Fragments. When you combine Map Fragments and Treasure Coordinates, you can use them to create a Treasure Map to get bonus loot that you can use in Expedition Missions.

You’ll want to have as much loot as possible available to you at the time Destiny 2: Lightfall makes its debut. The next expansion is coming to Destiny 2 on February 28, 2023, when it will bring plenty of new activities to complete and enemies to slay, like Tormentors and Cloud Striders.

Players will battle the infamous Shadow Legion in the town of Neomuna, a location unlike any Bungie has debuted in the past. Beyond those things, however, the developer hasn’t shared as many details about what we might expect when the expansion drops.

That’s why right now it’s a good idea to stockpile useful resources and goodies that you can use in battle to emerge victorious, like with the map shards available to you during destiny 2 season 18

destiny 2 is currently available on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, PC (via Epic Games Store), and Stadia.
