Great British Bake Off star Val Stones has confirmed that she’s landed a voiceover role in DC Comics’ DC League of Super-Pets, which released earlier this year.
The 72-year-old reality star rose to fame on The Backshow in 2016 and recently landed a role in the film alongside The Rock and Keanu Reeves.
Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood’s voice is also used in the film, which centers on Superman and his friendship with his sidekick, Krypto the Super-Dog.
While confirming the voiceover in the film to The Sun, Val said she was initially unaware her voice was used in the film, which was released in July, until viewers mentioned it to her.
“The biggest thing that has happened since Bake Off is that Keanu Reeves and The Rock have to wait for me to say my words in the latest DC League Super Pets movie,” Val told the publication.
“Honestly, I’ve had people say, ‘Val, we heard you in the latest movie,’ and I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know about that.’
Val said she was “embarrassed” not knowing her voice would be used in the film and said she reached out to the producers.
“Anyway, I got a message back from them and they sent me something to sign,” she added.
The film also features voiceovers from the likes of Kevin Hart, John Krasinski and Olivia Wilde.
According to IMDB, the dog Krypto must save Superman when he is kidnapped.
Val rose to fame at the 2016 Great British Bake Off.
She lives near the town of Yeovil and is an avid baker and substitute teacher.
