Andrew Garfield did his best to catch a few waves on a surf trip in Mexico on Monday.
The Spider-Man: No Way Home star was spotted on a Puerto Vallarta beach spending some time with an unidentified woman.
The 39-year-old actor bravely hopped onto his board but seemed to give up early due to less than ideal wave conditions.
Andrew took a walk on the beach showing off his chiseled abs.
He covered himself with a large white towel draped over his shoulders and he was wearing red swimming trunks and black sunglasses.
He wore his own wood grain board while another man who walked with the group wore a baby blue board over his head.
A woman in an animal print bikini and black skirt tied around the waist walked alongside the other man, and she was carrying her shoes and a mesh bag containing her belongings.
While out in the surf, Andrew added a long-sleeved navy shirt to reduce his sun exposure and add some warmth.
He also kept the glare out of his eyes with a black baseball cap and sported a short beard.
Despite being able to surf for a while, the social network actor seemed to give up early.
Andrew seems to have been taking some time to himself over the past few weeks. Last month he sent fans into a frenzy after a picture of him shirtless while on holiday in Bali was shared on social media.
He had previously vacationed in Italy.
He appears to be having some downtime after completing his latest project, last year’s Spider-Man sequel, which saw him teaming up with fellow Spider-Men members Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire, and his acclaimed FX crime series Under The Banner Of Heaven, which details a murder investigation involving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Mormon communities in Utah.
Andrew’s future projects seem to be up in the air.
Earlier this month, Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino revealed to Deadline that his planned 10-episode limited series adaptation of Brideshead Reunion has been shelved due to cost concerns, though he still hopes to see it to revive and keep the all-star cast together.
Andrew was set to appear on the series with Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Ralph Fiennes.
In July, Deadline announced the actor’s next project would be the limited series Hot Air, based on the life of Richard Branson, in which Garfield would play the billionaire.
