Aaron Carter was seen at home after a police call saying he is suing his on-off girlfriend for defamation

Aaron Carter was spotted outside his home doing barefoot maintenance on his car on Monday.

Outside his Lancaster, Calif. home, the 34-year-old musician opened up about his plans to sue his on-off girlfriend Melanie Martin for defamation in response to her claim that he broke several ribs, which Carter denies.

While fiddling with his vehicle, he claimed his lawsuit would look like “Johnny Depp/Amber Heard 2.0,” referring to Depp’s brutal defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife.

Aaron was dressed casual for a day indoors with a blue, orange and white Miami Dolphins hoodie which he paired with ripped acid wash jeans that were blown out at the knees.

He sported spiky blonde hair that showed off his multiple facial tattoos and he had a huge diamond-encrusted pendant dangling around his neck.

The rapper and singer appeared to walk no further than the curb as he went barefoot.

He was approached by a videographer while he was tinkering with his car, but he seemed more than happy to explain his situation after police were called to his home days earlier after accusing his ex-girlfriend Melanie of to have broken into the house.

Carter seemed upbeat, saying he’s “stayed strong” despite “an eight month of turbulence.”

He clarified reports he’s currently in rehab, calling it an outpatient program that focused on “follow-up care” and his “triggers” to ensure he doesn’t relapse after “five years clean.”

As part of the program, he attended Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings to show a judge he meant business.

When it came to his recent police visit, Aaron confirmed that he called her to his home.

“She didn’t want to leave, she was trying to trigger me,” he claimed.

He also said his nine-month-old son Prince was not at home and that he did not see him during the altercation.

Carter claimed Martin would “break in through the back window and just go inside” without his permission. “I personally feel like I deserve a better girl,” he added, saying he needs someone more in line with his “Southern” values.

“Now is the time to focus on being single, focus on my aftercare, focus on my son,” he continued.

However, he explained that his son is currently living with Martin’s mother as Martin lost custody.

Aaron, who fought for custody of Melanie earlier this year, claimed he initially lost custody “just because I own guns,” though he said he’d be willing to give them up if it meant losing custody could have for Prince.

He added that after him, Melanie lost custody and her mother had to take care of the young child.

“Unfortunately, it looks like it’s going to turn into a Johnny Depp/Amber Heard 2.0,” he said, while crossing his arms as he explained that he would sue Martin for “defamation of character” over her allegation that he broke several of her ribs.

“It almost ruined my career so I had no choice but to sue her,” he added.

Martin initially released medical records that suggested at least one rib was fractured, but later retracted her claim on social media.

Towards the end of the interview, Carter offered an odd salute to Johnny Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez.

“I’m just gonna put this out there. Camille if you are hearing this message please help me, give me a call and find a way to contact me personally and I would love to speak to you. I know you can help me win this because I have the facts. It’s a win-win situation,” he said.

The videographer ended the chat by asking if Martin even had significant funds to win a defamation lawsuit.
